Why run gamecube games at native resolution? Don't you think that would help?

Can you please do a setup guide for this? I bought the 8gb newly released model and I think it may be able to run on that!

I think when the Raspberry pi 5 comes out in about 5 years we will be able to play GameCube and PlayStation 2 games

What kind of PC is the Pi comparable to? Are we in Pentium 4 territory?

Does Dolphin exist in retropi, or is it not a part of their build due to hardware limitations?

I think it should run it faster If you use dolphin 3.5

By the time a pi5 comes out you should probably be able to run GameCube games in 4k with the correct settings

I am impressed it even worked at all! How would it run now with further development and optimizing? I want to play spyro a heros tail, but it is a demanding game and I dont know how well this emulator will work after more optimizing. Would you test this out for me?

The RPi4 was recently (2020/01/16) certified conformant for Open GL ES 3.1. It will take a little while for it to get integrated into Raspbian's Mesa package, but that should in theory do away with the lack of EXT_buffer_storage message in Dolphin.

This extension brings immutable storage for texture objects, which, in turn, allows better performance optimizations. I'd be interested to see what the performance of Dolphin is like when that's done.

If you still have this setup, could i possibly request the GameCube game "Metal Arms: Glitch in the System" to be tested? It's a game that for years up until Dolphin 5.0 had struggled to run on even the highest-tier of computers. I've wanted for years to make a handheld device solely for that game and I've been keeping an eye on the Pi project in hopes that someday one of their boards could be capable of handling it.

I think I will wait a little longer before I get a pi 4 just to make sure it can run the games really good,if not then I will wait till the raspberry pi 5 comes out cause the pi 5 should play GameCube and ps 2 games great since it already runs GameCube games ok on the pi 4 but you could build a arcade cabnet with a good desktop in it and it should play all the games perfectly I just wonder why no one has thought about making a arcade cabnet with a PC in it cause that would be awesome.
